Our approach to nonprofit cybersecurity is fundamentally different.

Created in a nonprofit environment for nonprofits—our methodology embraces the reality of overlapping staff roles, lean tech and admin resources, and constantly changing priorities.

We work with organizations to create a flexible, human-centered system designed to build capability where you need it most. Our goal is to guide organizations in implementing sustainable programs of integrated security and awareness. 501Secure's core mission is to move nonprofits beyond identifying and accepting the presence of risk to knowing when and how to act—or when to seek expert guidance.

We reject rigid, expensive enterprise security models that are not a practical fit for our sector.

Homework Help

We work with remote nonprofit teams to help them secure their online work environments, meet cybersecurity compliance responsibilities, and reduce the risk of a catastrophic security event, such as ransomware, account hijacking, and data breach. We do this by providing consulting and training services, program development, and learning resources designed to build foundational online security and risk management skills.

No organization can fully transfer cybersecurity risk to a vendor or insurance policy. For this reason, the 501Secure program works with nonprofit teams to assist them in identifying, understanding, and self-managing the cybersecurity risks for their organization.

Technology

We are vendor neutral.

Nonprofits work with us to
assess risk, make a plan, and
set appropriate criteria before hiring IT vendors or buying
security tools and services.

Core Services

Our services meet you where you are to help you reach your cybersecurity and compliance goals.

We work with nonprofits to build sustainable awareness and security programs from the ground up. In small organizations, security and awareness are inseparable—you cannot build one without the other.

That's why we focus on creating integrated, whole-organization programs that engage every staff member at all levels of the organization.
